Join the Wyoming Valley Striders 5K Training Program if you want to get into running or get back into it! This program is designed to get you from 0 miles to running 3.1 miles in 8 weeks’ time. Fall session starts Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Details: Practices will take place Monday and Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., Church Street Park in Kingston, and Saturday, 8:30 a.m., at Kirby Park.The goal race will be the new Wyoming Valley Striders 5K at the Susquehanna Warrior Trail in Shickshinny on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 9:10 a.m. (This 5K takes place alongside our 20K Run on the same day.)

Cost: $40 if you are new to the group & $30 if you participated in our 2023 spring session. Also, refer a first-time participant and receive $10 off your registration (excludes 2023 spring participants). Race fee is NOT included in the cost.

Sign up: Registration fee includes practices, insurance, graduation gift and end of session celebration. A limited number of spots are available so be sure to respond early! Mail the below registration form with payment (make checks payable to Jessica Podlaski) no later than September 1 to Jessica Podlaski, 33 Valley View Dr, Swoyersville, PA 18704 or Venmo payment to @jessica-Podlaski-1 (include name/email) and bring completed forms to the first practice. Note: If not a current member of the Wyoming Valley Striders, you will need to join the club during the first week of practice. Club memberships are $10 per year. Also, any child under the age of 12 must run with the adult who is responsible for them while at practice.
